Today I will share how to make these yummy potato pinwheel bites!
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
Ingredients for filling:
2 boiled potatoes broken and kept in fridge so the moisture gets released
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ginger paste
1 lemon
3 green chillies
1/2 a bunch of spring onions, chopped
1 tsp mango powder
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (whole seeds)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp red chilli flakes
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
salt to taste
Ingredients for slurry:
4 tbsp refined flour
water
Directions:
Combine all the ingredient for the dough and knead well until you make a dough. Add 1 tsp of oil to it and keep it aside.
Add oil to a wok.
Add the cumin seeds and the ginger paste and sauté it for at least 2 minutes.
Then add green chillies and spring onions. Sauté for 3 minutes.
Add all the spices and mix for a minute, then add the potatoes and mix well. Keep aside to cool.
Add lemon and coriander to the filling.
How to make the slurry: Take the refined flour and mix water in it so that its a thin consistency.
Take the dough and make a round roti with the dough (do not use flour at all when making the roti).
Fill the roti with the potato filling and distribute it evenly.
Roll the roti slowly and gently and when you get to the end, add the slurry and complete your roll to seal it off.
Take a sharp knife and cut it in small round pieces.
Take each piece, dip it in slurry and deep fry it.
They will come out crispy and tasty!
