In my experience, smaller strawberries tend to taste better and they get preserved very well.
- Take a pan and add quite a large amount of water in it. Also add 1 tbsp vinegar. The vinegar is added so that the colour of the strawberries stays the same.
- Wash the strawberries well in the water and vinegar mixture and then take them out.
- Throw away the water from the pan and refill it with fresh water again with 1 tbsp of vinegar.
- Put the strawberries in the pan and leave it for 10 minutes.
- Take the strawberries out in a strainer and leave them to dry for about 1 hour.
- Separate the strawberries into small bags and freeze them. (If you take out one bag you have to use all the strawberries in the bag at once.)
