In my experience, smaller strawberries tend to taste better and they get preserved very well.
Take a pan and add quite a large amount of water in it. Also add 1 tbsp vinegar. The vinegar is added so that the colour of the strawberries stays the same.
Wash the strawberries well in the water and vinegar mixture and then take them out.
Throw away the water from the pan and refill it with fresh water again with 1 tbsp of vinegar.
Put the strawberries in the pan and leave it for 10 minutes.
Take the strawberries out in a strainer and leave them to dry for about 1 hour.
Separate the strawberries into small bags and freeze them. (If you take out one bag you have to use all the strawberries in the bag at once.)
